About Richard...
Richard Cohen, M.A. is a motivational
speaker and trainer who facilitates training workshops, delivers
keynote addresses and acts as a professional consultant for
non-profit educational communities around the world. Additionally,
Mr. Cohen facilitates mission and vision statement creation
for non-profits nationally and also facilitates long-term
strategic planning sessions.
As a training specialist for the California Institute on Human
Services, Mr. Cohen is currently working with the California
Department of Education, Child Development Division on the
"Desired Results for Children and Families" Training
and Technical Assistance Project. On the national level, Mr.
Cohen is featured as the education specialist columnist for
Early Childhood NEWS' "Ask Our Experts" series.
In recent years, Mr. Cohen has served as an instructor/trainer
for the Erikson Institute's professional development series
and the Anti-Defamation League's " A World Of Difference"
Institute. Mr. Cohen was a CDA advisor for Harold Washington
College, an NAEYC accreditation facilitator for the Office
of Catholic Schools and a teacher supervisor for National
Louis University's "Teach For America" elementary
education program. Additionally, Mr. Cohen was adjunct faculty
at Triton College and St. Augustine College in Chicago, Illinois.
In 1999 and 2000, Mr. Cohen traveled around the world lecturing
at and studying non-profit institutions in California, New
York, Texas, Ohio, Florida, Indiana, Missouri, Canada, Portugal,
Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Scotland, England and Japan.
He received his Masters Degree in Human Development from the
world-renowned institution, Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena,
California.
