NCSCBBS provides mailers online access to a wide variety of
information related to the USPS. NCSCBBS is an excellent informational
source that allows customers and mailers to access and download
USPS information. NCSCBBS users may also post questions concerning
postal products and services and receive answers. Though geared
toward business mailers, NCSCBBS is open to anyone seeking
information about the USPS. File areas are provided to allow
distribution of various utilities and postal products. In
addition, the ZIP+4 Look-Up area offers users the convenience
and speed of locating accurate ZIP+4 codes online. They provide
several products, services, and publications to assist mailers
in achieving greater mailing efficiency, and publish a guide
that contains brief descriptions of these products and services
along with any prerequisites and/or qualifications for participation.
They publish a monthly newsletter, Memo to Mailers, and publications
Address Information Products Technical Guide, and Designing
Business Letter Mail, Postal Addressing Standards. They operate
the Rapid Information Bulletin Board System (RIBBS) (see separate
listing). The Web site provides information on what class
of mail to use, what discounts are available, and what the
postage costs are. It also permits customers to look up zip
codes and get information on addressing, stamps and prepaid
phone cards.
