This site features news and analysis on issues affecting nonprofits.
OMB Watch was created when the Reagan Office of Management
and Budget proposed a rule, first hatched by the Heritage
Foundation, that would have "defunded the left,"
and in the process, a substantial segment of the nonprofit
community generally. Since then, OMB Watch has been a leader
in the fight against proposals that would limit nonprofit
advocacy rights. OMB Watch now co-chairs the Let America Speak
Coalition along with Independent Sector and Alliance for Justice
to fight such proposals. OMB Watch's involvement in nonprofit
issues, however, is no longer limited to nonprofit advocacy.
OMB Watch also works to increase nonprofit access to the latest
