The mission of the Center for the Study of Voluntary Organizations and Service is to build a multidisciplinary set of courses across several graduate programs, including public policy, business, foreign service, and ethics, to provide opportunities in these graduate programs to pursue specialized studies about the nonprofit sector, philanthropy, and voluntary service. Furthermore, the Center sponsors and encourages multidisciplinary and public policy research about the nonprofit sector, philanthropy, and voluntary service. The Center sponsors graduate fellowships for Second-year public policy students pursuing focused study and career interests in leadership and research in the nonprofit sector.
